Cabin Air Filter

Hi All!

Just wanted to let you know that I replaced my "black" MB Filter after one year. In the past couple of weeks my wife has been complaining about the "musty" smell coming from the vents.

Instead of paying USD 45 for the MB filter, I got a Bosch active carbon one for USD 17! It seems to have done the trick, bit if it comes back, the shop where I bought it does a steam-cleaning of the vents to kill bacteria and the foul smell.

Also replaced the wipers with Bosch. Only one spoiler, but again about half the price as MB.

RE: Cabin Air Filter

I got mine from a local auto parts store. It's not a Pep Boys or Auto Zone, just a mom and pop store. I just asked if they carried the Bosch Premium Cabin air filter and they had it. Price was $22.

RE: Cabin Air Filter

Hello Steve!
Where is that filter located exactly? I have an unfresh smell in my car as well, and I'd like to replace the filter....

RE: Where did you buy the Bosch filter from?

I bought a couple from RockAuto 2 weeks ago, $20 bucks a piece. Not in stock but it shipped directly from Bosch and I got them under a week.

I found the site browsing Wolgang's most excellent website, he has another site listed with prices that are similar.
