power door lock actuator

Hi,
Anyone know if there is a simple fix for a door lock actuator. When attempting to lock the door, the actuator clicks rapidly up and down.

If you still have the warranty, best place is the dealer. I had mine fixed too. JUst came out from the mall, open the driver side then suddenly the door lock went up and down. Called my SA dropped the ML the next day. NO problemo.

RE: power door lock actuator

The fix is to replace the offending door lock mechanism. If your comfortable with removing and reinstalling pop rivets then it's probably a medium technical ability fix. If not then any half decent mechanic can do the work.

Note: The only tricky part is removing the lock cylinder. Or actually, figuring it out and having the extra long hex wrench.
