Key fob battery died, is battery replacement covered under warranty?
Key fob battery died in under two years is a bit unusual, dont you think? FWIW, our '02 Chrysler T&C Limited remote keys are still working to date.

Got my replacements at RadioShack. Even if under warranty, would cost more in gas to
drive to the dealership.
Warning, this is not a DIY for everyone though, and may justify paying the dealer for a hour's time. I almost lost a finger taking the FOB off the key chain, and then the whole right hand prying the FOB open with the jaws of life hydrolic system custom built I have in my garage.

RE: Key fob battery died, is battery replacement covered under warranty?
It may not be the key fob battery - fyi I had a spate of apparent key fob battery failures, but changing the battery didn't help. Turned out I needed a new AAM (access authorization module) as it was forgetting the code for one key or the other.
Must have burnt thru' about 6 perfectly good keys over 6-8 months before the dealership finally realized what was going on.
New keys have been fine for past couple of years - hope I'm not jinxing myself here ;-)
Bottom line, change the battery yourself - it's easy but be prepared for a trip to the dealer...
