l know some of you guys will get upset, or you will say "l told you so"...but l had to try the B&B Cold Air Intake on E-Bay.....if you look at the description..it sounds incredible....so off l went..The install is about 20 minutes, no biggie..l unhooked the negative terminal on the battery to reset the MAF sensor to allow for more air..(for 15 minutes)...l tell you.l did this Thursday morning, and for the rest of the day it felt great and sounded even better..What a "Throaty sound".....Certainly more responsive....Then came Friday morning..the dreaded "Check Engine light"...l don't understand this..My MAF sensor was replaced less than a month ago...so l know that is not the issue....and JD has the Kleemann Supercharger on his ML, with no problems...and it's receiving alot more air than this little CAI..so what gives here...Any idea's....[V]

So there is no way to re-set the MAF to accept more air..l find that hard to believe...What would happen if l removed the entire MAF sensor..just curious...
Mine came with a whole new ECU, not just a flash to the old one. The light MAY go out if the engine can learn about the new airflow and it's also possible that the intake had enough dust in it that it fouled even a new MAF.
lf this is the case..what prevents your CAI from tripping the MAF sensor....l would like to see if l can get mine to work.....[V]Any suggestions "A", Are you trying to say that the MAF has a limit to which, it cannot be exceeded[?][?]

what prevents intake from tripping mas?... bend in intake pipe. reduces the airflow to the sensor... also isnt as effective, but still provides the desired effect.
yes, the mas has a set value of air that can be read...once that is exceeded by a certain amount...ce light.
