While I don't have thousands of posts and consider myself a 'neutral' with regard to MB and ML. Yes I have had my moans when stuff goes wrong all too often - but as I've posted before, it's a great truck when its's running well (as it is at the moment).
I will continue to post my thoughts, comments etc. and I for one will not be put off or chased away by MB / ML zealots. Look forward to many more posts from me - may I suggest you put me on your 'ignore' list ?
Now, with regard to my original comment regarding V6 versus V8 break wear - which you disputed, please see these links – particulary the first one and the comment by Drew regarding V6 versus V8 brake wear, feel free to ignore any posts by myself...
As you can see Drew himself comments about this issue, also if you do a search for V8 brake wear in this forum you'll find many other such observations.
Clearly I'm far from alone in my observation that some V8's wear brakes much faster than V6's.
It could be driver style / condx - but many do not believe this to be the whole story.
Indeed later models appear to have had a caliper / brake modification which may have alliviated the problem. None the less '00 and earlier V8's at least show this problem.
Again, check the archives - there's a ton of info, even if you discount posts from those posters you consider 'moaners', malcontents or whatever.
Even giving your posts x 20 weighting - there's still an abundance of evidence regarding faster brake wear on V8's versus V6's - not just here but on the web as whole.

RE: You tend to research and quote everything that anyone has ever written and find a way to turn it
I am of the opinion that you are responsible for what you say, what you write, the values that you put forth as your own.
As such, integrity is an important part of what I consider an educative and educated debate. Contradictions do not lend themselves to make a point clearly and beyond dispute, you will agree.
I do not search everything ever written, but I do quote a lot, most frequently from the very post I am trying to respond to, and occasionaly from two posts from the same author that are in the same thread, or a few days apart in separate threads. The search function is not yet functional enough that I would go back and "tend to research and quote everything that anyone has ever written and find a way to turn it around on them."
I am not willing to accept statements made at face value by people whose integrity is questionable and who can be shown to have put arguments of no merits or arguments that contradict one another. That's just me though. Some may be perfectly content with gobbling tons of information of no value or worse contradicting value, I do not.
Contrary to what you may be told by others, all of your opinions matter to me, all the points of view you can defend honorably are worthy of interest, my interest included.
I have compartimented my life such that these matter to me, while are no crucial to my well being, sanity, or happiness.
If you think that I have misrepresented the truth, please quote me.
If you think I have attacked members unfairly, without basis, without merit, please quote me.
Tell you what, I will start a new poll, that Drew will probably end up moving although this is the forum I live one. I will subject my membership status to a referendum.
I'm not here to feed on your opinions, agreement, opportunities to chastise or otherwise launch unwarranted attacks.
I have quick posting for weeks for Mac's sake, so that he could enjoy his likfe on this forum a little bit more and make fun in complete impunity of those who have problems with their MLs.
I came back because of a request for me to do so, and it was not very hard to do so either. I do miss you guys. However, without this request from another member, I would have been guilty of "pride" and would not have returned.
Let me say right here that if the Go exceed the Stay, no one member will be able to sway me back to posting here. That sounds fair to you?
BTW. I have no expectations as to the outcome of this poll. I think that people appreciate the occasional help I can provide and the entertainment I try to provide as well, but Mac may be completely right and have a much better read of the majority of the posters here. I may just be an a$$hole after all, and I'll let you tell me if that's the case.

TCPML500
We are, except for a few of us, largely anonymous, and maybe that's what makes it easier for all of us to say such pointed things to one another to the point of attacking each other sometimes. I know I've been guilty of that sometimes (remember TCP_GV)
Anyway, my proposal is that going forward, there is no need to attack other forum members with such viciousness, and be so judgemental.
Let's strive to avoid scaring away forum members who love MB's or aspire to MB's who would patronize sponsors of this site.
This isn't to say that we avoid healthy doses of skepticism and spirited discussions.
We should keep in mind that we all want to avoid this site having to be shut down due to lack of funds from lack of sponsors who can make money from this site.
This thread should be moved to another site altogether at this point. It has NOTHING to do with the ML's enjoyment at this point. Maybe it should be moved to a site that you can host yourself!
