FAREWELL ML350 INSPIRATION EDITION

My lawyer got a response after 20 days from Mercedes-Benz stating that they will buyback my vehicle!

I just lost $2,600 because of mileage offset, big deal! I got back 95% of what I paid. What a feeling to walk into a Mercedes dealership and have the owner hand you a check for everything you put into the ml you owned, again, with the exception of mileage offset.

I remember speaking with MB customer service management where they told me a buyback is NOT an option, hahaaaaaaa.

During the time I brought my ML to the dealer I let them know that if something would happen to me or my family because of this I would sue the hell out of them. As my lawyer states they knew there was a problem because the dealer has changed parts several times, but they didn't want to admit they didn't know how to fix it.....oh well, sucks to be MB right about now.

As I stated before a car under warranty that is defective should be fixed, replaced or bought back. I'm actually sad this has happened cuz I loved the ML, but on the other hand it's a huge relief.

Take care everyone and GOOD LUCK!

Can I get you interested in buying a pristine Ford Pinto?

All maintenance documents available, low mileage, a collector's dream...[:)]

RE: FAREWELL ML350 INSPIRATION EDITION

Thanks djdragan to post that information .
My ML is 2002 model and since I bought it got some problem in it. NOT Meager just in quality and some manufacture defect every thing has been changed under the warranty . I calculate the time since I Bought the car it's stay in the work shop for over 100 Days ????[:0]
I didn't get a second car to use it and that time has been subtracted from my warranty.. [:(]( I have to check that with some one in MB ) . I guess the warranty people told me we have been changed every thing for you what you want else ???
I thing I will asked them to buy my vehicle back just before the day warranty void with good deal as you did .[:D][:D][:D]

get a lemon law attorney, the ONLY way you will get it done...MB will NEVER buyback your vehicle without an attorney. make sure it's a lemon law attorney who charges MB using the fee shifting provision which states the consumer pays no attorney fees because of the lemon law and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

good luck man!

RE: FAREWELL ML350 INSPIRATION EDITION

my dealer asked me, "soooo, what are you going to do with all of this money?" my wife and I looked at him like are you nuts? did they actually think I would buy another benz from them?

honestly I have owned 15 vehicles and this is my 1st european car. not that ALL European cars are bad, but this has been my worst experience ever in owning a car and the worst customer service from a manufacturer I have ever had.

being that I have had NO problems when I owned Chevrolet and I have a 1 year old and more on the way in the future plus I love reliablity in a car, click on the link below to see my next baby. I have already signed the dotted line.

http://www.chevrolet.com/malibu/
Just look at the options: Epsilon platform, DVD player for rear passengers, 6 disc built IN-DASH cd player, 1st in its class to have electric steering & remote vehicle starter system, sunroof and rear skylight for rear passengers, XM satellite radio, Multi-Flex 60/40 split-folding, sliding/reclining rear seat, heated seats, front and side air bags and much more. I love it when I seen it. It takes a bit to get used to cuz it's so new, but looks better and better each time

Interesting facts!
1. Repair orders in 1 year owning a MB ML350: 14
2. Repair orders in 5 years owning 6 Chevrolet cars, trucks and suv's COMBINED: 7

The history tells it all, what can I say.

RE: FAREWELL ML350 INSPIRATION EDITION

Well so much for the 'improved' 2003 quality standards - seems like MB is still using the same iffy component vendors and or assemblers and still manages to squeeze out lemonade.

No surprises here as it's all about bottom line profits and not so much about engineering excellence or customer care.

Give MB a few years and they'll get the message - but not before this once great brand gets even more tarnished.

Let us know what you buy to replace your MLemon.

RE: FAREWELL ML350 INSPIRATION EDITION

Good for you! Hopefully, cases like yours will send a message to the sleazeballs who run MBUSA. Many of us have been unpaid beta testers for this once great manufacturer, so its really nice to see them take it up the A**, since this is what they have been doing to many of us over the past few years.
