if you don't want to bake them, here are some option.
http://www.bekkers.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=BI&Product_Cod e=163820ex&Category_Code=mhlightml
easy but little pricy.
Also.
you can look for them in ebay.de, google.de
or contact mercedes dealership in Germany directly.
Be careful not to get it from England (different lens cut off)
Solution to DOT issue, all you have to do is have>
the actual lamp (bulb) light up amber. The housing can be free of amber plastic.
Buy new amber lamps (bulbs) and get some high temp silver paint, spray silver paint on a sponge and VERY lightly dab the lamp (bulbs)to make it look all silver. Be sure to "bake" the lights before inserting them into the housing by turning on the lights for a few minutes. This will eliminate any off gassing of the new paint which could cloud the lense.
Basically these are silver vision lamps, for 1/8th the cost! :)

That's also where Jerry's LED bulbs come in useful - they should be mandatory in the 2002 rear tail lights! Besides, I always thought white/blue/green turnsignals looked silly. I also couldn't buy an Audi because I don't believe that tail and brake lights should be the same color...
