how to replace the bulb for the rear tailight brakelight. do you have to remove the rear panel to access the bulb? or take out the lens/light assembly from outside? if so how many bolts holding the tailight assembly? i can only see 2 bolts when i open the trunk.
The two bolts on the inside of the light assembly are removed and then the assembly is carefully pulled straight back. The outside of the assembly has two plastic nubs that fit into rubber rings in the body. They will break of if you are not careful.
When i did mine, I put a small amount of silicone grease on the rubber ring to facilitate removal in the future.

The instructions are all there. My only major tip, aside from what howard suggested, is to use a 10mm socket instead of a slotted screwdriver to remove the two plastic bolts. If you use the screwdriver, it is very easy to warp the plastic.
And yes, you remove the entire lens assembly to replace the bulbs.

after taking out the 2 bolts i cant pull the tailight assembly backward. it seems that the front side of the lens (in my case the part that is close to the fuel door)get stuck. i dont want to pull it by force. is there any trick to pullback the tail light smoothly?
