My new Toy!

Thanks for the recommendation, Jeff!

I'm getting a cover made for it, and I'll post a pic in a few days!

looks great, planning any other mods other than the cover??? Dat would look nice with some bigger wheelts and a spoiler.
In "stock" form, all four sides are adjustable, giving almost infinite aerodynamic possibilities! Still, a picnic table in the trailer might look good ...

Good to see the board is fast again - btw.....

good looking trailer. Just what you need for going on a long trip, you could use it to carry all the spare parts & tools you might need to keep your ML running ok :-)

Nothing like towing a.....

real Tuetonic vehicle as a spare.
Bet there's not too much domestic content in that VW bug apart from the air in the tires ;-)

It's all Mexican....

yeah I forgot about that - sad thing is that it's still probably better built and more reliable than any ML.
OK it doesn't have all the fancy gizmo's but at least it'll get you from a to b without the tendency for a stop off at the dealership !

Maybe MBUSA could learn a thing or two about QA / QC from our Mexican friends ?

Huh?? My ML runs great! Well over 168k miles and counting! [:D]

Sorry about your problems. Why don't you sell it and get something you like? [?]

Uncal.....

I wasn't meaning to decry your ML's reliability - clearly you got a good one.
My comment was meant more in jest :-)

As to why I don't sell my ML and get something I like.
Two reasons,

1. As far as I'm concerned, my ML is practically worthless as a trade in for what I'd like to replace it with - so might as well run it into the ground. In any case I can afford to buy something to supplement it, maybe a 'real' German vehicle which might hopefully live up to my expectations :-)

2. I don't dislike my ML, actually it's quite a nice drive. But what I do dislike is the frequent repairs and the general couldn't care less of MB USA.

Apologies for any mis-understanding !

RE: It's all Mexican....

If VW ironed out QC issues on the Golf within 1-2 years, why hasn't MB ironed out the ML's problems after 6-7 years ?
Seems to me that VW cares more about their long term image and profits rather than MB's maximize profit and to h*ll with the longer term.

There again according to some I'm all bitter and twisted so it's difficult for me to be rational :-))
