OT Is it normal
Is it normal for a vehicle to start up and make a loud VROOOOM noice from the exhaust? Its not ours its our neighbors, its new and it sounded weird... Thanks again [:)]

Most cars have higher RPMs on a cold start to help warm up the engine. Some people floor the gas because they like the sound. Did it just get colder where you are? Did they just do anything to the exhaust? Are they concerned about it or are you just curious?

It was pretty cold and windy today in the 50's but chilly.... I was just concerned becasue I have never heard a car start up like that before.
