I have a 36" Sony XBR (4:1 aspect) HDTV ready,
4:1, now that's taking wide screen to a new level.
Not many DVDs enhanced for 16:4 TVs yet, not one I think! [:D]
Very good choice of TV.[:)]
Bad choice of house if the basement can't accomodate the 40inch big sis.[:(]

We got plasma and DLP, I actually like the DLP just as good.
Other issue with LCD is latency. Watch a football game and transition in state creates a blur! That killed the Wega LCD for me!
In addition, you can make up the matrix much more on the LCD than on the DLP, the gaps in between pixels is much greater on the projected image on a Sony Grand Wega LCD than on a Samsung DLP for instance!
I can't wait for my 4 tuner HD DirecTV TiVo with ATSC.
It's the greatest site, especially for discrete codes.
I could not get my expensive remote to do discrete codes and I bought a $15.99 at radio shak that could, and used it to teach the expensive one.
The remote that came with the TV could not switch video input without going thru a menu. The guys at remote central are phenomenal, all I had to do was read and voila!
