Grinding noise in the rear ....

Hi all! I took my ML to the dealer this morning to have them fix this grinding noise that's in the rear of the ML, only to find out that the rear brake pads were very much worn out and the rotors were affected as well. I thought the ML has brake sensors in the back that would let me know when to replace the pads, but my SA told me there aren't any brake sensors in the back. Is he right about that? Anyway, it's a DIY kinda job for me to do but I need help as far as parts #, i.e., rotors, pads, and chassis size? It's a 2001 ML430 with 37K on her. TIA

RE: Grinding noise in the rear ....

Brake pad sensor is located on the left rear caliper only.- And only on one pad, so you could have worn out any one of the others.
