Dealership wont activate my lights, and I'm getting desperate here... NJ people help!!!

I know I've brought up this topic about a trillion times, but no one, and I mean no one in NJ seems to want to do this for me...

I recently had 8000k HID's installed into my 2002 ML320, mind you my car has Halogeon headlights, not bi-xenon... anyway, my dealer refuses to activate them, and Its being a pain in the butt trying to find someone who can do a simple 5 minute process by going into the DAS and activating the xenons to present. Anyway, i was wondering if any of you NJ guys has a dealership that would do it, regardless if they bought the truck there or not. Here is a list of dealerships that definately said no...

Vik when you say 8000K are you refering to the MB OEM headlights or are these something that you retrofitted?

If they are retrofits and not OEM I'm not sure that you will be able to find anybody that will do it. If it is MB OEM parts any MB dealer should do it for you. You have to turn on the Bi-Xenon setting in the AAM (All Activity Module). It takes longer to hook up the computer than it does to turn on the setting. It took my dealer less than ten minutes.

What year is your ML? If it is old enough, you might not have to do anything.

If they are not OEM, authorized MB dealers probably won't touch them. If In fact they are retro fit try local car audio shops they often can do the job.

yeah dont go to the dealer. go to a private garage. thats how i installed my Xenon lights and it was a lot cheaper too. it took them about 2 hours to put the xenon kit and ballast on my ML.

if you get really really desperate you can meet me in upstate NY. i use to be a technican at the local MB dealership, I can have a few friends of mine activate them for you..
