My 02 ML500 went in for its first B service last mon/ They picked it up and left me an 03 C240 4matic wagon (nice but small and under powered) I asked my SA to drive it before the service and again after. He took it home 2X. The only discrepancies I had (I thought) were replacement of a fender flare piece that came off in the snow and repair of the plastic skirt around the driver,s seat. In addition to these items and the basic B service here is some of the stuff they did:
Replaced trip computer with new updated version
Updated software on the stereo and audio pilot syst.
updated software on engine control unit
replaced the throttle cable and firewall throttle unit. as SA thought it felt notchy
Replaced Battery as load test was marginal
Replaced all wiper blades
Supplied new updated Nav CD as the unit locked up on my SA when rerouting
Replaced an O ring on trans as it was damp
Removed all brake pads and applied anti squeal lube as he heard a slight squeal (80 percent life remaining)
There were several other minor items that I will note when I receive the car back as they are repairing a minor dent in the pass door that I got in some parking lot.
Excellent service and a "real" inspection
That's Excellent dealer. The dealers - the good ones - really make
the difference between liking and hating the ML story. My dealer is excellent also - they go out of their way to make me happy with the truck. Make sure to drop MBUSA a note regarding the good dealer.

Nice report of your B-service. Good dealers really do make the ownership experience so much more pleasant. Hopefully all of the other ones are striving to be better (wishful thinking, I know [8D])
