Service B, Check coolant light fix, C240 4matic loaner
Hi All,
A while back I posted that my 02 ML had the Check coolant light come on. And after putting in some coolant (green prestone) and two weeks later, it came on again... So I added some more and figured I'll take it to the dealer when Service B is due.
Well, just got it back from Service B, and it was a pleasant experience. I told the SA about the light. he said that they will take a look at it and flush the coolant b/c I was not suppose to add teh green stuff, just water.
They did discover a hose (don't know which one) is loose and tighted it. In the paperwork, it states that they have ordered a new one and will call me when it comes in.
If you're check coolant light comes on, you may have a faulty hose.

You're not supposed to use water actually. You have to use a MB approved coolant, not any generic Prestone product. [:0]
That's probably why they flushed the system to be on the safe side. [:)]
