Cam shaft sensor
EGR valve
Power Steering pump
radiator hoses
Catalytic converters (dealer)
Brakes and rotors
Air filter, cabin filter
Oil and filter changed every 5,000 miles with synthetic
Passenger tie rod.
New engine at 48,000, when rings ate the engine..under warranty.
Mechanically sound, electrically not so much. Until today, nothing major other than the CD changer was useless since about 2004.
However, I've just found out I've got oil in my wiring harness, and have pages and pages of error codes from almost every sensor in the car. Wasn't a problem 6 months ago when I had the brakes done and had a quick checkup done on the car before I drove up to NY, so something's happened between now and then. I had noticed the brake sensor went when I encountered the infamous ETS/BAS lights and no cruise, and upon checking the brake sensor I found it was *covered* in oil. Took it to the dealer, found out that to go through and pull out the entire harness and EGS and replace would cost $9.5K to fix (of course $2.5K in parts, $7K in labor), I had them replace the brake sensor and harness (thankfully the dealer did it all for free - at least I have that going for me today), and I'm in the market for a new car.
Too bad, too - this thing has been very good to me, very comfortable on long trips, and other than new brakes/tires at 72K miles and a new battery at 74K miles, I've not had any issues before today. I've found my problem on google and was a problem with mid 90s-early 00s C and M class cars, so I guess I'm not totally surprised that it happened. 10K is a new car, so that is what I'm doing. However, I don't really need the space of the M anymore, so unless the wife protests the next will probably be a (used) E class.
215.000 KM here.. 01/1998.. replaced already a lot, including transmission fix, fuel pump, steering wheel pump, MAF, all the little things including engine mount, DIY window switch,... now im waiting for 4 new cats to somehow find someone i can ship to USA and he than to EU.. but i see a new ML63 on the way, i visualized him already.
88K miles on a 99 ML320. The truck has been in my family since new, I've owned it since May of 06 when it had 50K miles on it. It has had its fair share of minor issues, nothing major.
some of these issues include
-Engine Mounts
-Break Pads & Rotors
-Power Steering Pump (replaced twice)
-Power Steering Rack
-Crankshaft Sensor
-Transmission Fluid changed at 75k miles
-Oil changed every 5K miles
Power steering was probably caused by being overworked. I have put 22" rims on the truck and since I did, I've had the problems with the power steering and increased wear on the breaks.
Other than that, I love the truck.

I have a 2000 ML 430 and it has 192k on it. It is just now giving me major problems (blown head gasket). It has been a GREAT truck for me and to me and i do not want to let it go...
I bought my ML with 36,000 miles on it. Now I have 198,890 on it. I have spent about 5,000 in total maintenance from the dealer. About a 1,500 for the stuff that I did. Overall, I wouldn't trade it for nothing.
Peace......

2000 ML 320 with 150,000 Miles. Still a favorite in the family. Wife and I love driving it becasue it feels so solid and good read manners.
I have done the DYI window switch, the ABS relay, a better clamp for the high pressure power steering hose and regular maintenance.
I think I hear a mind "whirr" from the mid shaft bearing. No a problem because this truck, like I said before, drives great. My other cars are 2004 VW Touareg, and the Benz is way better. My car is 2004 BMW 7 series, but its in another category, still the BMW sits in the garage and the benz gets driven.
