that's make me think like the vehicle that has a ponted bumper like the CORVETTE, I never seen one on the road with a front plate.Do they get a ticket too? since there is no place to install. Here in Socal no front plate is just a fix ticket NO fine, just go to the precint and show them that you installed it.

In California, it is a law but not a moving violation. It falls under equipment and no, motorcycles do not need front plates.
To solve the problem when parking on public streets, place the licence plate on the dash. the law says it must be displayed forward but does not indicate how. I've been doing this for eons and never had a ticket since. Go on line to the CA DMV and look starting under Section 4000 for the specifics.

Where I work, the cops are sometimes sitting right outside the
parking garage, they nail a bunch of people who are just coming on the street and have yet to put the seat belt on, which people usually do sitting at the red light right outside the parking garage. A favorite, and yet, idiots still get ticketed!

its a stupid law. i dont really see a point. I saw the NEW acura 3.2 TL has no license holder? they should have some restrictions or something. For example if the car company didnt make any license holder they should not FINE that driver.
