Bluetooth Car Kit

I installed a SonyEricsson Bluetooth Car Kit. I have now both the factory installed Nokia car kit and the bluetooth car kit working. It was very easy to install. All I needed is the SonyEricsson car kit HCB-30 and the Advanced Music Mute cable HCE-16. It's fantastic, once you switch on the car, you can make and take calls on the car speekers, while your phone is in your pocket. I fixed the control panel as you can see in the pictures. This is the only part that you need to have accessable. The control panel looks nice and is very small.

RE: Bluetooth Car Kit

Someone here has installed the Parrot CK3000. A lot of good reviews on it too. I wonder how this 2 system compares.

RE: Bluetooth Car Kit

A good thing in this car kit is that voice dialling is excellent, so you don't really need to catch the phone to dial a number.

I bought here in Riyadh (I work for Ericsson [;)]) , but of course you will be able to find the parts (the HCB-30 and HCE-16) at any SonyEricsson reseller. They cost here around USD 190.

It's just name voice dialling. Voice dialling is a feature of the phone not the car kit, but what I meant is that the accuracy of the voice dialling is fantastic in the bluetooth car kit, compared for example with a bluetooth or even cable handsfree. Accuracy (Transmission quality) is an important factor in blutooth devices. /Khalil

The Advanced Music Mute cable HCE-16 has two ISO connecters, one male and the other is female. In COMAND the speakers male ISO is connected to the B female ISO. The male connector of the HCE-16 should be plugged in place of the speakers ISO. The speakers ISO should be connected to the female ISO of the HCE-16.
Sorry that I did this in a hurry and did not get pictures. I will take pictures when I install the DVD entertainment system very very soon [;)]
