My '99 ML320 has a dealer installed Manik bull bar. It is very sturdy, looks great, but reduces the aproach angle. I now appreciate how the bar wraps all the way around the headlamp on the side, as it helped to save the front corner of the truck when a (stupid) driver wandered into my lane. Put a HUGE dent in their fender. Only scractched the powder coating on the bar.
I have never seen the WAAG bull bar in person, but based on photos it looks almost identical. However, the mounting system looks to be quite different. If it doesn't reduce the approach angle/ground clearance as much as the Manik, I'd go with the WAAG. Either one is probably very durable.
