Re: ML430 performance exhaust...

don't do the exhaust, unless you're 18 years old!! it's gonna be loud besides the ML is a SUV and not a little sports car.

Some info on various manufacturers (INTERESTING)

Well, I had the Brabus quad exhaust on my car...I didn't like the tips, so i took it off and sold it and had a custom quad remus exhaust manufactured for me. But here's the funny part, the only difference between, brabus, remus, and lorinser exhaust systems is.....the tips. Remus makes the mufflers for all those manufacturers, because it would cost too much to design a new one, so all brabus and lorinser do is design their own tips and slap on a few more hundred dollars. Lorinser at one time had Sebring make some exhausts, but know they are Remus. RENNtech and AMG have their own mufflers. So choose wisely and happy holidays.

-Chris

By the way, no offense to any 320's out there, but the exhaust does sound a little better on the 8's

Re: ML430 performance exhaust...

fyi, the factory systems are very restrictive. i have made simple mods like these to almost every car i owned and im was happy with the overall results. im talking about tuned cat-back systems not an 'al's muffler' special.

chris, didn;t you say you could get me some prices on the renntechs? if so, i'd be interested in finding out your price on them. thanks

Uh no 10 hp isn't "a lot"...

...and I can't tell whether you're trying to be cute and fake the 'dah' which means yes or the 'duh' which means 'duh.'

Tuners are notorious for overestimating the HP gains associated with simple exhaust swaps. Even if they are given the benefit of the doubt, what's the big deal about a measely 10 hp on a tank like the ML?

Pete
