MB>BMW, you opened my eyes to this rdforum. I have been reading through it for the past couple weeks and already ordered the Uniden DFR7 ($300) from Amazon based on the review of it on the RDforum which should arrive hopefully soon.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgkzNPhaPWo
Radar detectors work great but being from the states I don't have much knowledge about the European radar/laser guns and police tactics. I would do some research on RDForum.org as it's the best forum for gaining knowledge on radar detectors/counter measures. Also some sites are misleading and just want to push what they're selling so don't believe everything you hear about radar detectors unless it comes from RDforum or Vortex as they don't have personal bias.
I do not trust to attorneys, so I do not have any . How can he save me from paying the ticket and get negative points in my record? But to explain my "problem": so far I have 0 points and I had to pay tickets let's say less than 5 times in 30 years. the biggest one was for going 20 km/h (ca 10 miles/hour) more than a speed limit . But I am sure i will be more safe for me and others with jammer in my car ! checking speedometer frequently is dangerous and painful. it also ruins my good feelings during the drive. i feel like an idiot to maintain the "correct speed", especially on downhills where cruise control does not work ...Not to mislead the thread... but why not just do what you have to... drive as fast as you want, when and where you want... the only condition being that you should be sober... keep your eyeballs on the road... and if in case you get police wanting to pull you over... pull over... sign the ticket and make sure to tell the officer to be safe and have a good day... forward the ticket to your attorney and not worry about the bullshit. Seems to work just fine for me... 0 points on the record.
this sounds great (batteries), David. No, I do not think you need it in Croatia. First, you will not get any record, and secondly, the penalties in Croatia are relatively mild, $100 for pretty big violation (for less than 50 km/h over the speed limit) inside city limits. Here in Slovenia it is much worse; ca. $300 for going 15 km/h more than speed limit in the city.I use the Passport Solo which uses AA batteries. Sorry for the mix-up. Samo, do I need to bring mine for my trip to Croatia and Slovenia?
i can confirm this. great days were then when movie "Mad Max" (with Mel Gibson) was made. This film is showing "future" however a spirit of the time when it was filmed is intelligently incorporated in it. And it tells everything ... it is poetry, not just a movie. The great days are gone.
