Hi All:

My car Is w140 s600 Mo. 98, and its engine number is:12098212010608
Is it the same car engine number for w220 s600 Mo. 2003 or 2004?

If this is true, it means that it is a successful engine, because it works fine in The current 600 engines until 2013 model, and did not happen any change.

Thanks.

No completely different engine, but AMG kept supplying the M120 to Pagani up until very recently for the Zonda, so yes, the M120 is a VERY successful engine being developed far far beyond the original design breif. It will probably go down in history as one of the last NA V12 engines in road cars/supercars to be used as everything is going W, turbo and battery powered.

The M137 is in the V12 in the early W220/C215 cars, I think MB went for a lightweight engine. The M137 is a SOHC design, 3 valves per cylinder, smaller in capacity, much less power and torque.
