I have attempted multiple times to reset my central locking feature on my 1995 s500 coupe. I read the owners manual and step by step instructions. Here is the history: Car sat for 7 years because trunk would not unlock. Upon purchase I accessed power point in passenger footwell. Trunk lock frozen. After roughly two minutes on charger I clicked remote. I do not know if I hit it once or twice but, the trunk handle popped out, all windows dropped. Pushed trunk lock in and trunk opened. lol and behold, negative cable not connected on battery. Battery had zero continuity and zero volts. Replaced with new battery. Unlocked driver door and both front door locks came up. No start. Next day the lock buttons would not act the same. No movement. PSE pump motor shot. Replaced motor. All vacuum hooked up exactly the same. Press key fob hear pump run and cutoff. Press again runs until cutoff but locks not moving either time. Trunk unlocks correctly. Fixed trunk tumbler. No start still. I have searched here and Google and tried alternative resets mentioned. No luck.
IR lights work correctly at all three points on the car. Any help as to what I may be missing or doing wrong would be greatly appreciated. Also, new batteries in one remote. Both remotes working. Could the pump burndown have ruined the circuit board?
