Hey everyone -- minor problem just developed with my climate control system.
Everything else seems to work fine, but when I put the system into recirculation mode, I noticed two things awry.
First, it doesn't lock out external air the way it used to. Up until now, if I put it into recirc mode, it would seal up tight and I wouldn't get any fumes whatsoever, even if a truck was belching thick black diesel smoke right into my windshield. Now, not so much. It's still a bit better than if I leave it in standard mode, but its just not sealing the way it used to.
Second thing is that in recirc mode the blower speed varies when I step on the gas vs. idling. If I'm stopped at a light, it'll just blow normally, and then when I accelerate I can hear the fans really come alive and blow harder.
This doesn't happen unless the system is in recirculation mode. When I disengage it, function seems to be perfectly normal.
Any ideas?
