Some pics from todays car show here , I don't take many pictures but there where some other nice cars with nice wheels under them , I was surprised when my number (31) was called up .
The moment it was called it was funny because ,the announcer called my number but I was still looking left right & centre since I didn't expect to be called up ,then a few seconds later I said to my self , Hey ! 31 is my number , and up I wend onto the podium very excited,lol.

By my self all morning until Jimmy arrived and squashed his beauty in-between lol .

The Koenig's Egg won best on show award while I won this time with Best Wheels Award pictured below ( my surname is spelled wrong on it ) , I didn't expect a $100 bistro voucher at all , I gave that to my daughter which is already there spending it ,lol .
On a car show it does the matter which award it is , in my point of view it is luck to even get called at all when there are so many really nice cars with nice wheels under them ,well the combination with my wheels and the W140 almighty S600 was irresistible for the judges .
I have never seen so many people look at my car like today , since this wasn't a Mercedes show but for all makes of cars , I noticed a fair lot of admirers that didn't know our W140's at all , some I even noticed counting the manifolds intake ribs to see how many cylinders mine had even that there is a chromed V12 emblem on top of the engine lol.
Until I don't get the interior sorted out I wont be competing in the Concourse de' elegance anymore .
The Jet Car picture'd ( video still uploading ) below is absolutely awesome , the sound it replicates like that of an F1-11 fighter jet is out of this world , turn your volume up if you listening to this with a good sound system , with a crappy sound system you wont get to hear the Afterburner sound ( hair raising noise).:thumbsup:

One Week later W140 Meeting at Jimmy's house , what a day , no matter where we end up or go ,it always attracts a crowd , this morning a 20/30 minute meeting ended up 2 hours due to fans admiring our cars then another 4/5 hours waiting for our new freshly Howards replacement 140 .
Within that time it took us 2 hours to see how to park our cars ,lol .Lucky I told my wife I be back shortly , from 8:30 /9 i was supposed to be back by around 11 , came back at 4pm lol .
The last pic is that of the newly joined Ryan & his beautiful girlfriend Maria that replaces Howard Ho until his return from China .
Ryan will organize some silver stickers for the rear windows , but smaller then the test sticker pictured .:thumbsup:

There is one dark blue CL500 , a good friend of mine from the Concourse de' Elegance show (James), he has won it a fair few times , unfortunately he lives to far away to join us .
You are most welcome to join in . The CL's are extremely rare here ,never see one except on a MB car show .:thumbsup:

Lee , you know that you are welcome with any 140 in any condition regardless that our club rules are strict , " No Dirty/Scratched/Bad condition/Damaged panels/Bold tyres/Bad represented wheels , Showroom W140's only are allowed to join " , you jump all of those rules ,so would Anziani ,infact anyone that practically owns a W140 lol.:thumbsup:

Yes , everytime our 140 crew gets together we have heaps of fun , starting with the meet up time in the morning , it takes ages before we actually take of , all we do is TALK W140 lol even while we drive , we still TALK W140 ,lol.
You probably would only talk to me ,since i'm the only one that has owned a W126 within our club ( unless Ilhan had one , I doubt it ) , then guess what we do all day ,TALK W126 ,lol .

Just check out the pics below , they look like an army on a mission ,talking W140 , a small short example would go like this : check my new s600 grill out , nice ,check mine out i have one to ,ok lets go check it out ,aah look ilhan chris joe & phillip have one as well ,let's go check them out as well, then comes the rest of the car lol .
While Howard is just exhausted from the new things he finds out talking about W140 all day along ,lol..:thumbsup:

Apparently they are rare in the US also. We have a Mercedes "Classic Car Center" about 50 miles away in Orange County. I emailed them some time ago with a question. They came back with the answer and mentioned that my '97 S-600 (CL600) was quite rare in that only about 600 came into the US. While the badge says S-600 the data card says CL600. I think they started badging them "CL's" when they came out with the E body coupes.
Would love to visit Australia! Have wealthy friends that spent a few weeks there years ago.

Gentleman it's time for another drive. Any Sunday suits me but I propose Sunday 19th June as the weekend prior to that is a long weekend. Can meet in Sydney and make our way down to my place for photos with the S500 as well.

Start Organsing Joe ,get as many as you can in , CL's as well ,they can drive at the back of the pack (lol) ,I see how many I can get .:thumbsup:
