Stryker, I agree with your assessment of 140's ride- I was ruined by having as my first car a 1952 Cadillac- mohair seats, boulevard ride, impeccable build quality- in the 40 years and 30 plus cars since I did not find it's equal until I purchased my '99 S500. The ride on 140 is an amazing combination of smooth ride and superb handling- my car has ADS which may help with the cornering, but the ride itself is very much like the large Cads and Lincolns of the past, but with out the barge like cornering, my S500 is a lot of fun on a winding road.

I agree about the rubber parts as of late.

Recently ordered antenna grommet for the 126 and it seemed to actually be hard plastic- not the typical pliable rubber normally used. And yes, it was from a reputable parts supplier that I use quite frequently. Replaced the one on the SL last year and it was first rate quality from the same parts house.

Rich, as long as you got the accumulators replaced along with other related parts, you should be good to go. There are a lot of things that can/will wear out with time. As far as the parts go, OEM is better than all of the aftermarket junk out there, so I wouldn't even waste time/effort looking for different bushings. On an unrelated note, I just had to flat bed my car to the dealer today, the transmission is stuck in limp home mode with no gear change. So for you, things could be much worse. It's paid for, right?

is it driving any better yet? Have you had a chance to put some miles on the new parts?

My rear bushings and wheel bearings are breaking in nicely and the car drives nearly silent and rides better! Gotta say it is getting closer to right
