You're not up on economics are you? You will spend about the same per month to put gas in a S600, that's just a fact. My CL500 costs me about $60-65 to fill it up, and I do that twice a week at most. All W140's have a 26.4 gallon tank, coupe or sedan if I recall. $120.00 per week multiplied by 4 weeks is $480. If I were you I'd start saving cash, you'll need all the money you can get if you buy a S600. By the way, tell your dad he should have gotten an Accord V6 sedan, there cheaper than a TSX and a lot faster, he got ripped with the Acura markup for the same chassis. PS, I'll sell you my coupe for $16,000.
haha he doesn't care for a v6, I tried making him use the sport mode and he won't even do that. I dont think he got ripped off, I think he got a great deal. He was saying that maybe he should get an older e500 for like 27k or he wanted a 2008 BMW 5 series but it's not practical for him. Like I said I wanted him to get the options, now he agrees that he got a good deal, he used to have an 07 accord and he also has that Mazda that I picked out. Don't forget we're talking about used cars, CPO.

The two men in the video must really have something against the W140. I was getting compliments on the S420 from most people I encountered.

One word: PPI. Cannot stress that enough. That and NEVER purchase a vehicle hundreds or thousands of miles away. PPI is great, but a close inspection and test drive by the potential buyer is just as important. Rich knows this very well.

I managed to drive the 600 for a bit today since it needed smog and other stuff, and let me tell ya, it never fails to put a smile on my face(my wallet says otherwise ). The ADS suspension is amazing when functional and the car took potholes and bumps like a champ on the streets and on the freeway. If a person didnt know any better, it rides like an air suspension.

I often hear people here say "bla bla bla standard shocks ride just as well" resulting in many converting their ADS/SLS setups to save money. I've ridden in 320's, 420's and 500's with regular shocks (good ones mind you), but the comfort level is still different from an ADS setup. The ones complaining about the ADS probably had faulty ones that were stuck in sport mode all the time, so I guess I cant blame them

The car turned heads wherever I went, and often got approached by people intrigued by the V12 badge on the C-Pillar. I only wished the ones who approached me were lovely females instead of men

But, all good things must come to an end, so I returned it to the shop for further restoration work. Twas a good day indeed

Theres a thread about this on the other forum: why would anyone buy a 2013 TSX over the 2013 Accord? - AcuraZine Community

If I had larger pockets id get a v12. And I think that alone is what keeps people away and knocks what they dont know.

I want a v12 one day....maybe this coming year will be good enough to get one.

Here's my little short experience:
A s600 owner for the last year and a half. Bought the car with 5 cylinders not working, Self-Leveling not working, all lights on the dash on, and Limp home mode, transmission problems.
Bought the car 1000km away from where I live. I bought it not registered, and without inspecting it other than by myself. With 141,000 miles (227k km).

Bought it as my first worthy car, as a student, with nothing but unstoppable curiosity and an immense practical sens and the money of a student. And an unconditional love for the W140 and the desir to make it live.

With only 2500$ , hours of reading manuals, forums, and the help of forum members I got everything fixed.

Looking back at my choice, I can fairly confirm that If it were for a s320, or s420 I would not have saved more than 500$ of the repair costs. Nothing is worth the fear of the V12.
If you're in need for power the 500 would give you 20% more fuel economy which is nothing at the end of the year. If you want to save fuel, then neither is for you and a 320 would be your boring choice.

If you're the type to jump to the dealer for every problem you would be ruined. If you're like me sitting 2 hours a day behind your computer, reading and shopping only, then almost all parts are 1/4 to 1/3 the price of the dealer, and 20% more expensive than my old camry.
Other than what came with the car of errors from previous owners, nothing went wrong.
For those reasons I do not regret at all buying my V12.

Fabulous post - deserves something heroic to give appropriate praise to what you did so gloriously:-

And for those of you who can not see the heroism in what Michobebe did, or in this music then go buy a Camry.

Its funny how when i saw this, i almost literally punched the computer monitor. These people act like they know, but they clearly have no clue, i doubt that they even driven one. I don't see why they say this car had no collector value, the s600 is clearly a collector car, not some sudan taxi like a crown vic. They didn't even mention the history of this car, the bald guy on the left doesn't even seem to know what he is talking about, and matt on the right is a patriot and has been spoiled too much with high hp muscle cars, now im not saying those cars are bad, but they should be diluted, and kicked into a deserted island with that Citroen stuck up their A**, now that i have my point made, im gonna walk out and take a drive in my 420
