There are 4 connectors coming out of the combination switch... each have their own style plug so its basically fool-proof. Just find the corresponding plug.

Yep, it should be pretty apparent where the plugs go, with the exception on a single wire plug that comes from the rain sensor. There are two places where that one can fit. Don't ask me how I found that out.

Now, if you meant that the previous shop pulled the wires out of the connector, that's another story entirely! If you have access to a schematic diagram, the relay in question is designated N10. Hopefully that will help.

I've had the same problem, had to wiggle each pin into the connector, very frustrating but worked in the end. Don't have a wiring diagram though

Ouch! Yes, it looks like you're going to need someone with the same car to show you their connectors. I poked around alldatadiy, and while they have a bunch of schematic diagrams that show wire colors and pin numbers, they don't seem to have one that shows the wiring of the N10 in its entirety. You might be able to piece it together if you search around there enough.

I also found this thread which my prove useful:

I have attached the schematic from AllData for my '92 600SEL

I hope it is of some help to you. It would be best if you could get an image of the colour wires going into the connector.

Good luck!

Usually the wires on the plug's mate will match colorwise wire for wire.

Here is the pin assignment for a 1995 and later models for all the combination relay connectors (the one you need is on the last page). Hope it helps, good luck!
