Outside mirror removal?

Can somebody inform me on how to take my mirrors off, the only DIY thread I could find was good but it looks completely different, I don't have anything to unscrew. my mirrors don't power fold but the motors work, the driver side mirror moves about 1/2 inch the passenger side mirror doesn't move at all but I can hear the motors working.

For the pre-96 you have to remove it from the inside. Read part B of this pdf document titled "Complete exterior mirror". Oh and by the way, I had this problem in my 95 all you need is WD-40 and thoroughly spray the metal hinges and they will work again. I discovered the mirror wiring problem was only in the post 96 mirror. My 97 had degraded wire and I had to put heat shrink tubing over them. No more fuse blowing. The pre-96 mirror wiring is inside the cover and very solid as you will see.

Wow, I just tried some wd 40 and the drivers side works good now, I never would have thought it would have been such an easy solution, passenger side still doesn't budge, I'm probably going to have to remove it so thank you very much for your post
