Dead battery in boot of s600 v12.
To get in boot to replace or remove to charge battery you will need spare charged battery and jump leads or jump pack.

Unlock door with key.
Open bonnet.
Remove fusebox cover.
Remove fuse 17.
Put in made fuse.
Connect live jump lead to made fuse and earth other cable on body somewhere.
Press key fob to unlock central locking.
Open boot.
remove jump leads.
Remove made fuse and replace original fuse.
Charge or replace battery from boot.

Interesting trick..

But doesn't the boot just open mechanically with the key?

My boot does, no need for all this trouble. Iv take my PSE pump out completely, and manage to lock and unlock the boot normally..

What would be the point of this?

Also extremely dangerous, connecting a basically unlimited source of current to your electrical system without any overcurent protection. Can you say "Burnt wiring harness"?
