Loosen Door Panel with Door Closed
Thanks for that a diagram would be very useful.
Question is, how to get the door open to fix it, as I understand the interior panel will not come out unless the door is open?
Cheers Tony
Mostly true.
The latch surround trim can only be removed with the door open but you can probably create enough of a gap to access the tie rods which actuate the lock and latch....how skinny are your arms ?
Remove the rear bench seat to allow maximum access to door panels.
Follow the various instructions for removing the door panel which are found on window regulator DIY and door strap DIY guides.....and watch out for the plastic pins coming back and popping a nice hole in your bose speaker cone like I did mine.
You can peel away the door panel from the hinge and bottom and give yourself partial access to the tie rods which control the handle and lock mechanism.
The worst might be the rod is disconnected at the lock mechanism itself and that will be a tough blind fix.
Good luck.
