w140 S600 sensors PO156 and PO130 - PLZ HELPP!!!

Please help !!?
My baby 1996 S600 failed smog check - Passed emission check but failed Functional computer check - here is reading of OBD fault codes.

PO156 02 sensor fault (Bank 2 Sensor 2)
PO130 02 sensor fault (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

Here is another thing, occasionally my gas tank indicator will start blinking along with PCE and ESP light ON, plus the check engine light (Last certified tech just reset it and said not to worry - just need to replace 02 sensors) but now engine is making "wrong" noise and sluggish or i say it feels druggish on acceleration - feels like engine is bumping - when reversing it's especially noticeable. Tomorrow I'm replacing sensors - any tips what else to check? Thans you all

Sorry to hear what you are facing, The S600 Beast needs a little care
Just replace the Sensors, and then make another test.. erase the Codes, and see if there is any Stored Codes.. then you should Worry..

Things will be Fine. dont Give Up

Gott sei Dank.

Flashing check engine light typically means a misfiring condition. Check fault codes and see what's coming up. If it seems to run OK, I think I would continue to drive it and see if things get better.

No other symptoms, now? You said it didn't seem to be running right and felt sluggish before. How are your long term fuel trims? They can be read with an OBDII code reader. Are the new O2 sensors behaving properly? You can observe the real time signals with the more advanced OBDII code readers.

I have not checked long term fuel trims but my buddy who installed sensors mentioned car is misfiring...
also car has smell of gas in the cabin upon moderate acceleration and when driving upwards or climbing hills.

I'm still not able to prepare OBDII sensors, i've tried everything i think i can try...
Car is leaking and gas smell inside the car gets stronger with every month...
I'm so dissapointed and sad - i'm located in LA and there's not a single adequate honest body shop around to look into my problems... I was able to extend my registration with referee as i've spent over $1000 and nothing have changed with OBDII sensors.. arghh not sure what i will do next year. Screaming for help

Wow. It's been a year since your initial post.

I have more questions. What kind of fault codes are you getting now? What do you mean by you are not able to "prepare" OBDII sensors? Do you have a flashing check engine light indicating a misfire? Do you still have the flashing fuel gauge light, which indicates a gross leak in the evaporative emissions system? Have you monitored your O2 sensor signals with an OBDII scanner? Beyond all this, is it running poorly?

I know... i've been battling over this for so long, spent so much without results, thanks for reply.
I dont have OBDII scanner, No flashing check engine lights or any other lights for this matter.

Last time fault codes were, not sure how to check again:

PO156 02 sensor fault (Bank 2 Sensor 2)
PO130 02 sensor fault (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

no flashing fuel gauge light - its just sometimes acting weird - when im its 1/3 empty sometimes it drops down completely red and then slowly moving up to 1/3 again...
Car running fine - just takes over 10min for RPM to drop to 5 when just starting cold.
Oh also i'm driving in Winter mode - not sure if that's matter - in Summer mode car seems to have problems shifting to higher gear. Car would accelerate to lets say 35 on really high RPM and RPM would never drop for some reason

Also my shocks or suspension is in trouble i feel - car feel too rough on bumps and sometimes rough on sharp turns. Here's all my symptoms doctor
