Question W140 300SE Immobilizer problem

Hi all,
Hope someone can help me.
I recently bought a W140 S320, the electric windows suddenly stopped working and also the radio.
I started the car and left it running while I removed and tested and replaced the fuses in the boot (fuses 5, 6 and 16), There was no power going to the fuses.
After stopping the engine and removing the key the car will now not start and the alrm is constantly resetting itself.
I have tried doing what I read from the internet a while ago which is quoted below.

"Unlock car disconnect the battery. for at least 1 hour.. Make sure nothing is on.Reconnect then run throught setup routine lock and unlock the door from the outside with the button on the keyfob, not with the key..do this twice at least with a couple of mins between.sit in drivers seat then wind drivers window down, and exit car, close door, hold keyfob next to door handle press and hold button.. system will lock, then window will go up. then immobiliser will set itself on. if the window does not go up..you have problem.. now put key in ignition.. turn to position 1 single red light.. listen you will hear relays etc stay there for 30 seconds..then to position 2 all dash lights again at least 30 seconds. now turn off remove key.. listen.. 90 seconds now put key in turn pos1 ten sec then 2 ten sec then 3.. and you should be running"

The interior mirror red and green lights kep flashing when I try to synchronise the key using the fob.
I have also tried to synchronize the key fob using the method below but still no luck.

Method
[Point window in remote key at a receiver.

Press the remote button momentarily.

(cars up to 12-93 lock or unlock car with folding key within 30 seconds in door lock)

Cars as of 01-94 with control modules 202 820 40 26 and 202 820 43 26. Switch on ignition with folding key within next 30 seconds.

Cars as of 12-94 with part number 210 820 21 26,
210 820 22 26 also 210 820 27 26 and 210 820 28 26 also 210 820 32 26 point remote key at receiver in interior mirror. press remote button momentarily twice, turn key in ignition lock to position 2 within the next 30 seconds.]

Any advice would be very much appreciated
Kind regards

i dont think these are W140 instructions...

also, what year is your car, you once called it a 300SE, then called it S320...

Something is not right, W140 can be 300SE if its 92 or 93.

94 and up are S320.

also, the number you have posted is not a vin, well... its a part of a full vin, missing 5 digits, 3completely missing, and W140 should be replaces with NAx.

is there a full vin under the windshield?

Question Window fuses

I might just add, before I had the problem with the immobiliser the windows stopped working. am I right in assuming that fuses 5 and 6 in the trunk are for the windows and does it have a relay to supply them or is there a master fuse located elsewhere ?
Regards
Fazzah

Window fuse

Hi ,
thank you for the reply, you say there is a fuse under the hood.
Is it in the main fuse box? As I cannot see any in there listed as being for the windows.
Kind regards
