V12 owners please share your maintenance costs

Seems like the almighty V12 M120 motor keeps getting flack about how expensive is this and how expensive is that to keep running. Mostly coming from people who NEVER even driven an M120. Yes opinions are great here and most are valid but I am curious on what it has cost other V12 owners to keep their car running. I am NOT looking to hear from a mercedes mechanic or someone who works on the V12 but an ACTUAL owner. Mechanics and other people who work on these cars dont count in this thread because they see a lot of vehicles and I was only looking for strictly OWNER testimonies. We love you mechanics but this thread is specifically for the owner.

Lets do a yearly cost of maintenence on your 12. I would like to see if other V12 owners have had such GREAT luck and reliablility with their M120 motor so that the "haters" can understand that its not much difference then any other W140 to keep running. I am sure some have horror stories and some have great stories. Lets hear them all.

No offense to non M120 owners but I am trying to put these bad rumors to bed that this car is gonna take your life insurance to keep running. Mine hasnt and has been a pure pleasure to have and I hope others can attest to that

My daily driver for the last 2 1/2 years and all I have had to do is oil and filter , 1 x broken rear coil spring and 1 x wiper blade
However prior to all this it had some major work ! - so I'm keeping my fingers crossed

My wife's daily driver. In the last seven years it has done 137K miles....the largest maintenance expenses...$4K transmission, $1K engine wiring harness, $3.3K A/C evaporator, $800 vaccuum pump, and probably $3K in various suspension components and engine mounts. The parts are not inexpensive....but hell, even Honda, Nissan, Toyota parts are costly. My philosophy is "you pay to play", and you have to remember you are "playing" with a $130+K automobile. Have you priced service on a Bentley or Roller lately?

2 years ownership, 13k miles. Engine problems: water pump rebuild (pictures posted here); a/c re-gas; 1 coil over plug failure; 3 oil changes; 1 set of spark plugs changed out.

Booked in for service this week for tranny fluid flush and new fluid, all filters to be changed out; engine oil and oil filter change; brake fluid change.

Owned a 1994 W140 S600 for 8 months and i've just finished a major work on the ADS suspensions. The PO is change the oem ADS suss with a non ADS susspension unit, and to going back to an oem spec i've to change the power steering pump, ADS control unit, shocks, sensor, balls, hoses, brackets etc.
The cost for the parts for this job is approx 6K+ USD )-:
Other parts i've changed is all the fluids (motor oil, atf, radiator coolant, power steering fluid), filters, front seatbelts, Front orthopedic seats ballons,3 power window motors, engine mountings, several switches, electric roller blinds motor etc

After all i've done to the car , i'm still in love and hate situation with the car

Love to drive it but hate to see the mechs coming
