is it normal for noise to be coming from throttle body it sounds like a grinding scraping,car is in limp mode asr light on . a mechanic told me that just by the sound he knows i need a new eta.could some one tel judt by the noise.
any advice would be appreciated.

Yeh there are some nylon gears in it that move the throtle butterfly, i think you can get some nice pics from V12uberalles.com (ETA rebuild)....i would take it apart first before forking 2-3K for new one and see if it can be rebuilt or repaired....there are companies that do it.
