Air Conditioning Problem!!! NEED HELP!

i have a 95 s320 i bought it about 2 months ago and got an A/c recharge for $120. the ac worked good for a month or so and then yesterday when i turned it on it started blowing warm air. i hav no idea what the problem is. i mean, the ac charge cant go bad in a month right? It is going to be in the mid 90's this week so any advice, solutions, ideas on what the problem might be appreciated.

thanx

Well, sorry to tell you but its a 99.9% chance that your A/C evaporator is gone. Very common fault on W140s due to bad material selection for the unit (combination of copper and aluminum).

The worst part is that the evap itself is not to expensive, the problem is the labor requires to remove the WHOLE dash to change it. Usual labor cost runs up to US$3,000.

Get the A/C codes form the control unit and pray. Oh, and if it is the evap, don't get the original OEM unit (it will go bad again). Get a full copper evap instead.

The first step is to read the diagnostic info from the A/C system. Pay particular attention to the evap temperature & refrigerant pressure read-outs. It could be something as simple as a stuck duovalve or as heinous as a bad evaporator. The only way to know is to reoubleshoot. It's pretty simple to do too. Check JimF's page below, he has step by step instructions on how to call up the A/C diagnostics:

Post your results here if you need more help!
