i am trying to resolve the problem with my new 94 s420 that i recently bought a couple of days ago and is giving me an alarm starting issue.

the previous owner i bought the car from it didnt have the remote key just the master key ( thats how i locked and unlocked the car by puting the key in the key fob). so yeah anyway i went yesterday morning to unlock the car an all in the sudden when i open the driver side door the alarm went off and crazy along with siren horn. i am like what tha the hell .. so i jump out again and i try to lock and unlock the car again by puting the key in the fob and see what it does. but nothing the alarm still going on and on beeep beeep-beeep-beeef and the headlight and four way flashers go went on also. i try to start the car it wont let me to. my neighbors going crazy so i had to cut the horner( siren) on it and now just the headlight and tail lights flash when the alarm goes off. so yeah i been back and forth up and down for 36 hours already and nothing is improving. i ordered an infrared remote key from the delaer and picked it up today. the dealer told me to synchronize it to put in the ignition and press the button hold it and with in 5 seconds start the car. still nothing happens. i can not get my benz to start because of the alarm. i tried many procedures by puting the key in 1st position waiting 30 sec and so 2nd position 30 and removing the key from ignition waiting 90 sec and so and so... also i tried the neutral thing by pressing the brake and puting the car in neutral but nothing happened. also took fuse # 2 and # 15 out and also disconected the negative battery cable for an hour and still nothing. the only thing i hear is in the back seat right side i hear like click click relays and stuff. i also unpluged the pse vaccum pump under the rear seat and also the alarm relay in the trunk under the fuse box and no luck. i cant also find the k38 relay somone says is under the passanger front foot area, someone says its in the center console alldatadiy.com says it is in the right side of the dash behind the airbag. please help what do i need to do i have the master key and the infrared remote key ( which got it saturday from the local dealer). also something else i noticed is i can lock the car from the all 3 points ( driver trunk and passanger side and what i see is the flashing red light in the driver side and trunk only, after then when i try to unlock nothing happens i can not unlock it with remote but the green lid light only flashes in the passanger side and no where else. also tried by pointing the remote to the rear vie mirror press twice and try to start the car no red or green light flashing the rear view mirror lid eye.

does anybody also know how to reset the alarm or cut the wires or something so i can restart my car. also i noticed something weird happend with the new key i got from the dealer ( infrared remote) when i go to close the car with the remote from the dricvers side door all doors lock and the red lid flashesh for like 25 seconds the same in the trunk led but on the passangers side no red light at all. also when i try to unlock the doors with the remote nothing happens from all three locations the doors cant open but what i noticed is that only in the passangers side the green lid light flashes like 4--6 times. what the hell is wrong with my car ?? can anybody help

at the risk of stating the obvious, have you had the car battery checked?

if battery checks out, try not using the remotes. lock the car and unlock using the master key. this should be enough to disarm the alarm

I recently had a very weird electrical problem with my wife's 300E that was solved by replacing the related fuses. I originally checked the fuses visually and they all looked fine, but obviously they weren't. I got the idea to revisit the fuses after researching the w124 forum on this site (for a couple of hours).

I hope it's a simple fix for you too.

i chekced the battery and it was good what happened though - --->>>>last night at 8:20 pm i went to the driver side door and uncloked it and all in the sudden the car just started . i locked it again with the remote and try to unlock it nothing happend so i had to use the master key and unlocked it the car went again in ata mode and cant be started again ( teh past 3 days its been doing the samething it starts only between 8pm-9pm at night) do you guys think might have like a sensor installed in it or something or what??, I also took the # 11 fuse and try to start it and nothing happend.. what do you guys recomend me to do. i bough this car for $ 4800 and i already spend $ 200 in keys and nothing is fixing it. if it keeps going like this i am going to junk it and not even try to sell it for parts just for the heck of it..

Does the red/green lights light up properly when engaging key or remote ?
Have you also tried holdeing the key on lovking/unlocking position ?
Do you have a problem with ONe or more recievers in the car ? (There are three, one in each front door, and one in the trunk) My driversdoor reciever doesn't work.. But the two other does..
Since the reciever costs 1400USD, I won't replace it.

no they dont . when i lock the car with remote only the driver and trunk flash red, and when i unlock it only the passanger side flashes green. so what should i do now ?? also what i noticed the driver side door when i unlock it i hear this air presure going like pssshhhhhsshhh only when i unlcok it. does that has to do with anything ??

Your car isn't going to get fix by magic. You need to do some real troubleshooting. Robert gave you step by step instruction in your other thread. Did you do any voltage, continuity checking? Nobody able to help you based only on lights blinking and pshhhhh sounds. You have to start taking panels off to find you K38 relay.
