Motor is rebuilt, but crankshaft rotation is binding

Dear Gentleman,

Just rebuilt a 119.971 motor. About 3/4 of a full turn or 1 revolution
the crank binds and with a little force will loosen and be able to beturned again.
Does anyone have ideas why this is happening?

i would say put it all together and rev a snot out of it :-) no realy, you should get the crank balanced and make sure its not bent in that case....iam asuming that the you are talking about just crank in a block without heads so its not a compression stopping the engine turning over....
