Anyone have anything bad to say about replica wheels? I'm looking at new 17 or 18 inch wheels. O E Wheels has a nice selection on eBay. Or does anyone have a set of nice non-chrome wheels they'd like to sell?
I like the way you think. those are one of the more expensive AMG styles available
as far as replicas, anything Rota-made is good. Moven is another good replica brand. the thing about replicas is value. should you decide to sell your car, the replica rims you put on will mean zilch
people who've bad experience with replicas, please feel free to reply. Ive read people having peeling issues on clearcoat and such.

I've had replica wheels, they where chromed, don't know what brand though. They were on my W202, but I didn't have the car for very long so i couldn't tell you much about quality. I thought they were just fine.

If China or India - you will be very dissappointed - I know too much about the foundry processess there and the quality of material is very dissappointing.
They even will take substandard materials (read: pitted) and smooth over with epoxy and repaint.
Just remember that almost always, you get what you pay for. I am sure there are quality replicas, but they have to be more than $500 for a set of 4. I looked for awhile and was ready to spend about $1,200 on a set of four, but I found a new set of Giovanna's that I liked for $2,000! So I got a real 2 piece wheel and all aluminum for a higher price, but the value I could not pass up. Good Luck.
