93 W140 S500L HID retrofit - Benzworld.org

Hi,

I have had a W140 for about a year and the lights are too dim (a lot of country travel, NSW, Australia)
I have no idea about installing an HID kit: has anyone successfully done this, and how hard is it - or is it a job for an autoelectrician?

hi ,

the hid kits you get nowadays ,you can pick them up of ebay , they are plug and play units , just have to make sure u give them the right code for you bulbs .eg,H7.so they fit stright in to your exsiting sockets
I can pick up a set of ebay here in the Uk for 80 pounds . but not sure the price in Oz.

Oh, Canberra. I would like to think about an S600: much more grunt than the 5?
On another point: do you know if it is a simple matter of putting in a different globe, or are there wiring issues to sort out?
