After searching and looking around, this thread seems to be the most informative. Here is my problem, original Becker Grand Prix 1432 HU controls locked ('91 300SE), replacement out of a JY is crap too (only right side works ). I take it that if an aftermarket unit is installed the amps behind the back seat will still work, as well as the unit mounted in the boot. The pics (sorry about the quality, el cheapo digicam ) are of the back of the original. From what I've learned so far the offset plug in the upper corner is the power (?), the small one below I haven't a clue, fuse is a no brainer, flat one along the bottom has to do with the alarm. The round one I am assuming is the speaker signal plug (?). There are no harness kits that I can find and would rather not hack into the wiring (was thinking of making a harness using plugs from bad HU). Also, I now have an Ant up/down switch that I'd like to wire in (Ant down for CD, up for radio ) and where would the antenna wire on the new radio plug in to. Can anyone tell me the layout of the round plug, confirm the power plug, and tell me what the little one in the corner is. Thanks. Oh, BTW, the console fader does work .
