multiple errors.
The Typical 92/93/94 had a two piece radio, the front was the "control" with a "tuner" at the base of the rear wheel, the two were connected by a large "din cable". If you had the Bose system, standard i think, the output of that went to a seven channel amp on top of the rear wheel, which drove 11 speakers (4) rear deck two ohms tied in series, (2) in each front door, (1) in each rear door, and a tweeter behind the mirror.
If you unplug the radio it will go to dashes and you will require the code to unlock it, after three unscessful tries it will lock out up to 24 hrs and require it to be powered up for that period of time to reset.
Error codes do not require the onlock code. E2 is described as: Radio control, CD changer, and tuner amplifier will not turn on due to open circuit, poor connection of BUS cable, or no voltage.
The suggested options are: Check cable, check radio fuse, check fuse on tuner (trunk), check for voltages at radio ciruit 15-30-31.
I dont know what you (or someone) did, but I can tell you you can not just add any kind of amp since the fade is controlled by the trunk mounted amp, the balance comes from the
the front acting on the tuner. The output of the tuner is not normally compatible with the street "amps" and doing so may smoke the speakers particuarily in the rear deck. The proceedure normally has been to start from scratch, the later year radios 95+ are completely different and have been adapted to utilize a more conventional hookup and amplifiers.
The Bose system was probably engineered before most of the "chain store" hotshots graduated kindergarten, and is a high grade install but not a "boom box" affair.
You have a 1432
Becker Grand Prix 2000 Model BE 1432
I just looked at your other posts and: If you have the CD the cable from the front travels to it and goes back into the trunk tuner, if you unplug the CD the front control cable (gray Din) has to be unplugged from the CD and back into the tuner (it has to make a loop) thru it. Becker no longer repairs them, they have ejection issues which will run down your battery and there is really nothing that I have heard of that will allow interfacing something else. I have one in a box (defective)
