Were is the ASR relay located?
I was wondering if the problem with ASR will go away if I simply pull a fuse or a relay? Is there anyway to just deactivate it?

Try simply removing the ASR instrumentation console/dash lamp.
Due to the possible serious integrity of a loss of the traction control systems, as Engineers we introduced a very simple measure en some of the higher operational control functions making them dependent on the resident current of their instrumentation status systems en their operational safety protocol. If resident instrumentation status lamp current (lamp burns out or es removed). Then the normal status es deemed invalid... therefore the operational system affected are disabled until a valid status returns (dash system status lamp replaced to ensure system integrity). Your vehicle may be affected with this safety item for traction system integrity...

I'm having the same problem with my 95 S500. The dealers have an edge in that They
have the diagnostic tools for the mercedes port and the extra parts to test the car.
We don't have the luxury to test a faulty relay without purchasing it, and of course
you cannot return electrical parts from most all suppliers.

so, is there any way to disable the ASR system? I am fine without traction control. I drive pretty safe and never need the help of traction control. I have been through many cars without traction control and never had any problem loosing control. Is it possible to equip an ETA unit that doesn't have ASR? I know they're stupid questions, but im also trying to find a cheaper way to ride myself of the ASR issue.
