Question about B6/B7 S600L AMG 7.3L

Hi all! I'm from Russia. I and my father are mercedes-fans.
Father have R107 AMG SL500, R129 AMG-7.3 , W124 E500-7.3 AMG in collection. And mine W221 S500 4matic , SLR.
I have a question about B6/B7 W140. Is it really very heavy and slow ? I for a long time dream about W140. W140 600 is cult car in Russia, and even today many people not change them on W220/W221...
There is one for sale in Moscow Ïðîä*æ* ëåãêîâûå *âòîìîáèëè á/ó Mercedes S-klasse (W140) S 600 L (394 Hp) . We want to get it in collection...The father says that he had a Mercedes 600SEL in 1992-1994 years, not guard. Is it good deal? ( S600L 7.3L 1999 B6/B7 for 185k$ ).

Post Greeting Komerade.

I never seen a w140 guard (armoured)it must be very heavy. Mine on the scale with everything removed weighs 5260 lbs with driver.

Your dad has a e500 7.3? This is fast & rare.

Is the r129 & w140 still have speed limiter? Im sure the 7.3 will not!

pictures of w140 this is the second time I see oversized tires on skinny oem rims.

they are not normal tires, those are run flat tires a belive, i saw them before on other armoured W140s..

BTW 185K is too much even for 1999 W140 7.3L (must be Brabus or AMG i guess), iam not sure what the prices are in russia now but where i come from nice late model in mint conditon w140 600 will be $30USD max so lets say double that for the 7.3 engine and you are still far off....

i believe the pictures are of the armoured car he is referring to, therefore the wheels most likely have a layer of armor and the ability to run "flat"

W140 S600L 98-99 in good condition in russia cost about 30k$ . But we like rare models. I think such price (185k$) is good for armoured car with 7.3L engine.

Those are not even the normal wheels. They are a special OEM edition, too. Some sort of heavy duty wheel for the Guard.
