Ok, I cleaned the MAF twice, still issues...

CE Light came on, disconnected battery, cleaned MAF, let it dry, reconnected battery etc.. light went away, great!..

Light came back, again... did the same procedure, light went away for a little while, and just came back again...

Time for a new MAF I think? I'm looking for a DIY on how to replace the MAF... only thing i'm unsure of, basically, is now to properly remove the cable that is attached to it... i looked at it in question, but couldn't quite figure it out.

Thanks!

Note: I used some electronic parts cleaner on it, FIY... and the symptoms i'm getting now is irregular idle, and sometimes i even give it gas and get NO response, i have to let off, and press again (while driving)

how do u know CE light is triggered by MAF? did you scan it?

If you have not scanned it, irregular idle & giving it gas w/ no response is often times due to a faulty ETA

are you running an aftermarket air filter like K&N?

I did scan for the code and it was the MAF... the last time i cleaned it, i sprayed it and immediately put it back together, i forgot to leave it apart to dry... and the unresponsive pedal issue came directly after i started the car the first time after i had cleaned it... so i'm thinking it must have something to do with it, never did that before...

Did you wipe off the mirror w/ some q tips? If that mirror is @ all dirty it will throw codes.

We have been fairly lucky with inserts for the MAF's.
