I've read about this, destroying the prototype always seemed to me to be a bit of a waste, perhaps it was so it didn't fall into the hands of the people at Lexus dun dun dun.....

Its amazing just how close to the final production spec that prototype was! Fit and finish on the interior look to be top-notch.
Anyone know what all that stuff on the hood is in picture #1?

AFAIK, it is the different bushings they tried for the lower front arm...
