Seat adjustment Help

Hi all,

I have a problem in adjusting the seat in my car. Its in the front passenger seat, all the ways are working well except moving the rear of seat base up and down. So, can I fix this problem myself?? or at least I want to raise the rear of seat base up and keep it forever,

any ideas

Three key aspects to check, I think:
1. the steering module in the door (can be lack of connection in one of the directions, so no signals send)
2. main module which is under the seat may have these particular circuits broken
3. the motor in the seat, responsible for this movement, is dead.

I was replacing this "under-the-seat module" at dealer's once. And the funny thing was that he seat was stuck in a position (towards the back) where it was nearly no access to the rear bolts fixing the seat to the floor. Initially we were not sure if it will be possble at all. But went OK.

when trying to move the seat to that direction, I can hear sound inside the seat. So I think the motor is working

from where can I open the seat to see the motor??

sounds like a broken gear if you hear a clicking sound where it becomes unable to move any farther
