I have a 1993 Mercedes-Benz 600SEL (V-12) and it has been running perfect, but now it will not start. I turned the key and it said vroom for about 2 seconds, and then it died as if there was no gasoline in it. It is currently in a local MB service place but they have not been able to find out what the problem is. They have been checking all the electronic systems, and there is no problem there, and they have gas to the motor.
I hope that you can help me please.

I dont want to be pessimist but get them to take off cam chain cover...as um it mite be snapped. Of course after checking all the fuses, fuel pump engaging etc.
Does it turn over at all?...if it doesnt crank at all it might be the chain good luck...
Could it be a fuel pressure regulator? I know someone who had a fuel pressure regulator that failed and was stuck wide open - had a flamethrower out the back end of his car. Perhaps it could be clogged and not sustaining enough fuel to the injectors once the initial startup happens. Just a suggestion...
They did fix t the problem it was the spark plugs that did get wet. they told me that
the power was to little to start the motor when it was turning by the starter.
But I did look at the plugs but they seems dry to me ? But now the motor is running perfectly so I am pleased.

Wet by unburned petrol and possibly some small amount of oil, once the plug is wet it wont spark and that will effectively destroy the plug if you keep cranking. Once you take the plug out , petrol will dry off real fast so they may seem dry to you...
Sometimes it helps just cleaning them but since they are like $2 each for F8DC4 plug you may as well replace them....
