Mercedes genuine part numbers !

Just a thought.....
Everyone here at some time or other purchases genuine parts ..... so ....why don't we start a data base of the part description and item numbers ? Might prove usefull and greatly assist members when you order a part .... after all if you quote the exact number rather than the description your more likely to get the proper part !
I will start the ball rolling...........
Description Part No
Power sterring oil A 000 989 88 0310
Right hand side mirror (UK DRIVERS) 94 on A 140 810 68 93
Mirror Glass (for above - auto dimming)91 - 93 A 140 810 02 21
Fire Extinguisher A 000 860 33 80
Wiper blade (passenger side) A 140 820 04 45
Wiper blade - Headlights A 140 820 13 45

IT would be good if anybody who has TIS or WIS could make up basic parts list...for things that you know break a lot...

Wink

I have both these but what I was finding when I went to the dealers is that alot of numbers have been superceeded. So what I will do is add to the list when I purchase specific genuine items.
Is it possible for the moderators to move this under a specific heading at the top of the forum ?
What does everyone else think about the idea of a list ?

As long as we have EPC on the net I see no reason to duplicate
that (a HUGE and complex task...);

For example, blinkers are here;

thanks syljua
it shows 4 different part numbers though
1248200421
1248202321
1248200021
2028201621

can anyone from europe or asia confirm yours? as far as I can tell from actual pics in the net the W140 does not have the 124 markers like in the pic below but instead is a flatter and rounder one

You will have to remember that fender blinkers are not standard, but mandatory
in some areas. Since many cars are "second-hand" imported to those areas,
incorrect blinker may have been fitted. I was to comment on that image
of the fender earlier in the thread, that it looked the wrong part, but I was
not sure if that was a pre-facelifted one or not.

This is my blinker, that I recently replaced (broken locking tab), from genuine,
to genuine;

If you browse the gallery on; www.mb-w140.de , you will
see some images of cars with factory blinkers, just like the ones in your image,
flat and clear. Like this one;

1248200421 = Amber colored lamp assembly (i.e. with cable, ready to fit)
1248202321 = White version of above
1248200021 = Amber lamp, less cable and bulb
2028201621 = White version of 1248200021
These items are common to W124, W126, W129, W201, W202 and W140, except for those early ones, 1984-5, which had a larger size lamp
