I had posted a couple weeks back that I had a broken front spring.
So wanting to drop my car a little more ( I had already went to
# 1 pads ) I thought this would be the way to go. I found these springs @ Autoanything.com they were 235.00 free shipping.
Had them installed over the weekend 200.00. The ride is every
bit as good as stock when going straight, but now the car has
about 1/2 as much body roll in the corners. I am very happy
with the springs action. Now I said I was wanting to lower the car
some more... What I got was not quit what I was after.
The back dropped 3/4" (still may settle more) the front is still
in the same spot it was! It turns out that BOTH front springs were broke and the car was sitting lower than stock springs would
have made it. I had measured before and after expecting
to see a 1" drop...seems I'll get that in the back but the front
will be what it was before! I am hopping the fronts will settle
another 1/2". yah right.
Any way to give you an idea what #1 pads and the pro-kit
will do for you my car measures 26" ground to top of the fender
arch. If you are looking for more than that you would want
the sport-line kit.

I am sure you are right! I have 120,000 on them.
Shocks and motor mounts are next. I can do the shocks
myself, I HAD to have the springs done to get my car
driveable again. I can maybe do shocks and motor mounts
in the same day, then it will be time for brakes again!

Hi,
Sorry for bringing this thread back from the dead (new S500 owner here ) but I couldn't find any info on an Eibach Sportline kit for the W140. Can anyone confirm the availability of this spring set for the W140 chassis?
